Based on a painting by Ambrogio Lorenzetti, this scarf shows part of the frescoes that can be seen in the "Peace Room" of Siena Town Hall, the beautiful palace facing the magnificent main square "Piazza del Campo" where the horse race "Il Palio" is run twice a year.

The fresco gives an accurate description of city life in Tuscany in the 14th century.
